So, why am I writing this? Well, before I decided to buy flight simulation software Flight Pro Sim, there weren’t many reviews around. Of course, there were plenty for Microsoft Flight Simulator X or the versions from 2002 and up but nothing for the online flight simulator Flight Pro Sim.

I liked what I saw on the home page but I wanted to see what a normal person liked or didn’t like about it. So, I thought I’d quickly write this online flight simulator review of FlightProSim to help some of you who might be in the same position I was.

I will give good and bad points though, so you might see something you might not want to hear anyway, here goes…

Flight Pro Sim Real Life Flying

Does Flight Pro Sim Offer value for Money compared with Microsoft Flight Simulation Games?

Flight Pro Sim has remarkable real life flight simulation. The actual feeling of flying is second to none. For example, when you are approaching the landing strip, you have to deal with airspeed and compensation for the crosswind and take altitude into account.

After landing badly a few times, I just wanted to get back up again and do it all over. I seriously messed up at first and still do but thats because you can customize the flight to be as challenging as you want it.

You get 20 aircrafts in the starter pack and that’s fine for most beginner gamers but if you want a greater variety you have to buy the Add On Aircraft Pack.

I highly recommend this option because it’s really cheap but you get a much larger feel for different aircrafts and helicopter flight simulators, combat flight simulators and the single seaters.

Online Flight Simulation – Yes You Can Play Against Others

You have the chance to play with other flightprosim users around the world. You can choose if you want to play against them or fly in formation or just compare notes. I have met a cool bunch of people…

Can I Customize My Flight?

With this online flight simulator, you can customize weather, clouds and wind speed, so you get to learn how to fly in different environmental conditions.

You also can set your time zone which is exact for each specific country.

You can of course fly at night and the position of the moon and stars are exact for each country you are flying in.

You can choose the country that you want to fly in and the airports are almost identical to the real thing.

There is a selection of 20,000 airports! I felt like I was touring the world from my own living room!

There is also an instructor’s panel where you can customize the flight conditions before take-off.

Don’t worry about how you going to do it, there are handbooks that are included in the package that you can download too.

Can I use my own Flight Simulator Joystick or Flight Simulator Yoke with the software?

Yes. There is integrated joystick support which automatically detects any external features you will need.

Are there Regular Updates?

Yes. And there are free downloads and Add Ons included too.

Does it offer Realistic Scenery?

Yes! This flight simulation game gets 5 stars.

The 3D effects that this flight simulation software gives you is what will really hook you. (It’s especially good on my 22” screen!)

The Flight Pro Sim Online Flight Simulator software makes you feel as if you were really flying. (That is why this software has also been the choice for top flying schools because they can simulate actual scenes and test the trainee pilots on the PC rather than in the plane.)

Things I DIDN’T LIKE about FlightProSim

I had to learn the system first so had to read the guides and being Japanese, English is not really my strong point!

Anyway, the guides were really easy to read and I soon found my way around..

Another thing is that, the flight simulation scenery is set to San Francisco and I really wanted to try flying in Asian and other countries too.

I was under the impression that the initial software download included countries from around the world but you actually have to buy them as a separate add on. It was cheap enough and worth it so it wasnft too bad.

I suppose I was just in a rush and never read the fine print! I bought the additional scenery pack. But, looking back, I am glad that I got it because I will never get bored with the game.

Does it have a down-loadable online flight simulation guide?

Yes, the flight sim guides include:

-a short reference guide (1 page)

- A flight school guide (102 pages)

- A get started guide (227 pages)

What Operating Systems does this Software Work On?

Conclusion

I have been very happy with this pc flight simulator and glad that I didn’t get Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and Free Simulator Games or some more expensive sim games.

I am addicted now!

I would say that Flight Pro Sim is perfect for any beginner flier because you can customize so much of the game and make it more challenging as you improve your skills.

But at the same time I think this online flight simulator is perfect for the intermediate to advanced flier too since you can create any type of emergency or challenging flight route imaginable.
